Through the years Lynn took painting classes from Betty Magee, Jane Jones and Michael Atkinson. Her life-long dream to be able to draw came true after she retired in 2007. Lynn took a drawing course from Sue Belle-Isle and continued taking classes including workshops with J. D. Hillberry and Linda Lucas Hardy. In 2015 her portrait of herself as a child playing dress up won first place at the Texas ArtInspire contest in Austin. Her belief that you are never too old to learn to draw led her to teaching pencil art at Highland Springs. As a resident of Highland Springs, Lynn feels privileged to be part of a diverse art community that supports and inspires creative pursuits.
